Obviously if it's hard for me to stay up then i'm tired. And if i'm tired than I didn't get enough sleep, for whatever reason, I couldn't. So get enough sleep is not a good answer.

Fresh air helps A LOT. If you can't get enough sleep and solve the problem that way, make sure you aren't in a closed in, stale space. Eat something like a piece of fruit or an energy bar. Drink something cold and non-alcoholic. Move around, stretch, take deep breaths.

Caffeine ie Strong Black Coffee, a cold shower using aromatherapy styled citrus shower gel, use aromatherapy body spray in citrus scents, Red Bull or alike (v.good!), Sport Tablets and Pro Plus, and a good run in the morning (like 5-10K).

eliminate sugar from your food and drink intake.... no soda, no juice or any thing sweet. no flour products like bread or cake either.... you may have only one apple a day and that'll be the only source of your sugar. you may have meat and vegi all you want as long as they don't contain sugar.... potato and other carbs are okay.... no pasta (flour)... give this try for a month or so.... see how you feel

when i was on this diet, i didn't need more then 5 hours of sleep to feel completely "recharged"

Believe it or not, I like to hop around in my seat. As long as I am moving, I stay awake. I also walk to the water fountain and drink tons and tons of water. Than I have to use the restroom.
