The love of Money, is the root to all evil. Satan is just that evil that it roots to. Thing is the personality and characteristics of Satan can only be identified by us through the Spirit of God. The desire to rule human beings was what made a formally clean Angel the Satan. God did not kill him, although he could. He rather gave this bad angel the freedom to do what he claimed he could do. Satan has ruled us since the rebellion.
What has been the result? He's been influencing people to do evil of all kinds. Anything that you do or one does to you that, you do not feel comfortable with, has its origin from the Satan and the other rebellious angels, the demons.
They influence humans to go to war; to kill; insult, steal; etc. They also bring about diseases and all what we humans do not desire. Fortunately, God would not leave us forever in his jurisdiction. God will do away with him and bring about the original status of the earth, the serene paradise.
In the paradise, evil would no longer be seen or felt because the originator, the Satan would not exit there to influence people. For instance, you can leave your door ajar and no one would feel like going in to steal, nor would there be war or hunger or pain; Humans will have the full use of their brains and do wonderful things useful for our peaceful habitation. The so-called hightech of the old world (presently), would be laughed at. have a nice day.

I would say the biggest manifestation is temptation. Usually, I don't act upon said temptations, but they're always there, like the "shoulder devil" in the cartoons.
