nobodiesinc, those would be the prejudices most homophobes find it impossible to admit to and which they hide behind scripture as an excuse...

Since there is no god and no hell...no.
Those people's special "hell" is living a life of bigotry and fear, with all of the ignorance that goes along with it. They are so homophobic because they fear that they themselves might be gay if given the chance, so they attack what they fear. A life full of fear and anger is not a life well-lived...that's their punishment.

I don't think the Bible is used very often to "excuse and promote prejudices" against homosexual people.
It's the behavior that is the issue -- not the people who engage in it.
I have a problem with homosexual behavior because a) it is sinful according to the Bible, and b) it is medically dangerous and severely cuts short people's life spans.
But I don't see the people who engage in this behavior as any "less human" than anyone else. I've known some homosexuals in my life, and I've always treated them with the same respect that I treat everyone else.
Regarding b) above, remember that the average life span of an American gay man is 39 if he dies of AIDS, and 41 if he dies of something else. Only a very small percentage of gay men in the USA make it to old age.
We know that smoking cuts short people's life expectancy, and naturally this behavior is widely discouraged by society.
Well, gay sex cuts short people's life spans even more dramatically than smoking does -- so naturally, this behavior should also be discouraged by society.

It is a pity that you have only met homophobes who act in this fashion. Has that been your sole experience? I encourage you to look at the bigger picture.
I do not hate gays. I TRY to love everyone, even though some of us are a little more annoying than others. God loves gays, too, my friend. BUT- he does not like SIN.
You are no different. Nor am I. We have all fallen short of God's grace, and have all sinned. So in that one respect, we are all equal. But ultimately, we have to apologize to God for our sins, and repent.
Some people do use the Bible for their own nefarious reasons. Why not read the Bible yourself, and find out the truth for yourself! You will find that God loves every single person- gay, straight, crooked, etc. HOWEVER- sinning is against God's laws, so we have to make amends.

Iam sure that god can change that person.
Nothing is impossible to God.
There must be a hell for the sinners.
But I won't think that there is a special hell.

There is only one hell. While I believe those people are wrong, most think they are doing right. They are trying to save people, though they misunderstand the Bible and God's directives to us. Anyone who is truly filled with hate will not be saved, but anyone who confesses his sins and accepts Jesus' gifts of salvation will be saved, regardless of their erroneous views. It depends on what is going on in their hearts.

i'm not a believer, so i don't beleive in heaven, nor hell.
but the idea of these horrible homophobes going to hell, would be the only reason for me to start praying right now. let's hope that "God" will listen to my prayers.

We must also love one another, aside from what the othr person may be doing with his/her life. posting questions like this are just gonna get you mad hate and probably reported. Who knows? But, don't be too judge mental, just let God deal with them. You know that it's wrong and that's what's important. Let God deal with the rest, because when have hate in your heart God is gonna deal with you too.
