cristal K, the best food items found in Champaign are:

Boiled eggs

Pickled pigs feet

Corned beef sandwiches

Fried Chicken

Tater tots

Arbys

Jack in the Box

etc, etc

enjoy your eating experience in Champaign, it is a great city but not big on restuarants but lots of good taverns.

the best food to go with champaign is chocolate covered cherries and strawberries. Especially if it is for a special occasion or celebration.

Strawberries every time. Oysters aren't bad (if your gag reflex doesn't kick in and you can't swallow them). Personally, pate is great with it. Chocolate isn't bad but I prefer putting chocolate with red wines (especially Pinot Noir's). Some cheeses (as long as they are on the mild side) are excellent with champagne as well.

Anything. I drink it with Indian food, Chinese food, light pasta dishes, onion tarts, appetizers, fondues - basically anything that's clean spicy or a clean taste.

Champagne isn't just for celebrations - it's a great drink with dinner, brunch, lunch, just sipping during summer, etc! Enjoy it!

You decide, although there are the standards
1.Chocolate(good quality)
2.Caviar
3.Strawberries
4.Oysters
Basically you do what you want.We aren't living in the 17th century where you can be beheaded because you served the "wrong" thing with Champagne.Be adventurous.

A lot of things. One type of food that Champagne or Sparkling wine goes well with is spicy foods. it is hard to pair spicy foods with wine...but bubbly works well.
