I would get him the cheapest but most expensive gift there is a letter on nice stationary letting him know what a wonderful father he is and why...add all the beautiful memories you have of him ...he will cherish it long after all the electronics and power tools and crap they usally give wears out....PS>>tell him HAPPY FATHERS DAY FROM ME

Make him a coupon book. Put such things as mowing the lawn, washing the car, and things like that, it's free and given with love, when you give of yourself its the greatest gift of all.

something hand made is always nice and personal. like a collage of pictures of both of you together. also having a nice meal together at home, even sharing stories with him about your best memories w/dad over a 12 pack. i know my dad would like it.
