He's playing games. He never had any undying love for you in the first place, you just happened to be there. Then, all of a sudden, some other girl comes along, and he wants "space" to pursue something with her. That flame was probably quickly doused when she gave it up to him, and so the novelty has worn off. Now he's coming back to you until he finds someone new to play with again.
Do you really want to waste your time being this boy's play toy? No I don't think you do, tell him to bugger off and go on about your life.

You have to ask yourself why he asked for his "Space" to begin with. Was there a possible love/lust interest he was looking toget his hands on and by asking for "space" he was in turn giving himself permission to proceed?
I would suggest doing nothing. A Text Message is not the proper way he should be communicaating with you if he is serious. Sounds like he is "testing the waters" to see where your head is at. Let it be for a bit. See if he calls. Don't give in and be strong. You deserve respect in the form of a phone call or personal meeting to dicuss the issue.

"HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU" .Get the book.Women don't like to hear that.Live in reality though.Give him the space and go do your own thing. He'll start wondering why you haven't called."Leave them alone and they'll come home, wagging their tails behind them". And if not,he wasn't "the one" & you have gotten yourself a life! Honey don't hold your breath for nobody!

For me - it would all come down to how I feel about him. Is that not the first question in these matters.
Maybe he loves you AND needs space.
Women can be a bit smothering for guys - I think.

Ask him how much space he wants. If you don't like his answer, then make the space between you and him permanent.

text him back. tell him youre doing fine. maybe he is going through something that he needed space (family problems, work, school, you) maybe he got scared because he is really into you and had to get his thoughts straight. if you miss him, tell him. dont try to hide your feeling/thoughts. good luck ♥

ignore the txt and remind him that he needs space!
he is just feeling horny and wants you for that reason, then tell you he still needs space!
give him all the space he can handle girl, and dont let him use you!

I would just answer him with one word answers, just so you don't look like you have the sulks with him, you know how men think, you dambed if you do and your'e dambed if you don't.
so you just reply with "fine" and leave it at that and if he questions you about the short answers, then you GIVE HIM HELL GIRL.
