depends if you have a special name for each other!!! if your just starting out dont say love you!! maybe ask if theres a name that they like to be called you dont want to be calling them a flower or something that they dont like!! most say babe or baby

i say "hey baby" he says "hey sweetie" but it took is a while after dating, now we say it all the time
