It depends on the age of the cat. If it's on the older side, I would recommend at least every six months. If it's younger, a year providing it hasn't been to the vet at all for something during that year. It's supposed to have some of it's shots once a year and therefore, get the check up as well. When in doubt, ask your vet. It's the safest way and he/she will know more about your pet than anyone else. Sould go once a year for a check up. Do not allow shots every year. The protocol for vaccines has changed. The National Academy of Feline Practioners only recommends shots every 3 yrs.
