Many years ago I was a long-distance runner, but one evening I lost my training shoes and so couldn't get out for a run. This depressed me so much, I turned to the fridge determined to eat myself stupid. What did I find in the fridge? Ice-cream? A roast chicken? No. My training shoes were there. It was clearly some kind of divine intervention, so I ate them, piece by piece over the next few months. I also went on a binge and became obese. I'm fifteen stone now.

Have you found God in any unusual places?

I don't believe in God or in divine intervention. I think people use it as an excuse not to take responsibility for their own actions. With reference to your story, it was your own fault for bingeing and eating so much. You could have kept up the running but you chose not to. Don't use God as an excuse. If you wanted to, you could be a runner again but clearly you don't. I wish you luck though, I do. If you think God meant for you to be obese, then so be it.

Once while taking a shower christ suddenly appeared in there and was going on about some mustard seed or something (I don't know about that it's Christian stuff). Anyway the experience was sort of like in those films with strange effects, difficult to explain. God works in mysterious ways indeed.

I thought I saw Jesus in my floorboards once. I just glanced down and his image was right there in the wood. About 2ft by 2ft. Of course I looked away and looked back and it was gone. Weird but true. Maybe he's been looking up my skirt all these years.

I found God in Beer. He makes me feel relaxed at the end of my day, It gives me times of clarity when needing something to focus on, and it helps me to be more fruitful and multiply. What else is there?
