The devil doesn't need to read the Bible. The devil knows God firsthand, and has rejected him. Now he's busy leading others to reject God as well.

Besides, the devil hates the Bible -- if you skip to the end, you'll find out that at the end of the final battle, he LOSES !

He has already read the Bible as some have stated. In Matthew 4:5-7 the Devil mentions scripture. This an example.

The devil would never read the bible. Don't you watch horror movies? Whenever the possessed person is being read to from the bible they start spazzing. I don't know if that's true, but even if it isn't you could never FORCE the devil to do anything. He's an angel, or an ex-angel, anyway. He's stronger than you.

well i dont know if all of the posts are true but every relegion is diffrent. as for satan he was originally an angel yes and was cast out of heaven by god(revelations) and there are many prophecys following but most people that i talk to see angels only as certain created beings rather than actual people so there is no where in the bible saying that angels have to read and understand the bible. but they do have a direct lik to god so technically if you want to look at it they dont even need the bible they can just ask the person that inspired it if they actually think of a question.

but when lucifer aka satan was sent out there isnt anything that says he retained his knowledge just that he tempts us with sin. but you find out that he is very functional and tricky when he trys to decieve jesus. so anything not said exactly in the bible it is just assumed by people or made up by them.

Believe me, the devil knows the Bible more than anyone except God. Remember Jesus in the wilderness-what did the devil use to try and tempt Him, Scripture!

I think He has read the Bible but just don't agree with it. How then was he able to qoute Biblical verses while tempting Jsus in the desert. But the question is, how can he believe to put down something that he doesn't understand and thinks he did, only the opposite of what it really is.

The Devil knows scripture better than anybody - except God of course. He just doesnt know the secrets in parts of it.

In fact Satan quoted scripture to Jesus when on his 40 day fast - trying to use Bible Scripture to get him to do what he wanted, to cause Jesus to sin through a kind of spiritual blackmail.

The devil already knows the Bible, and has a far greater comprehension of it than any human.
