it's useful when it's in good hands, harmful when its in bad hands

That is a loaded question.

I have worked on naval submarines (nuclear) and can tell you that they are efficient and safe as long as the personnel running the reactor understand the principles behind its operation and operate it within proper parameters. The U.S. Navy has not had a single nuclear accident in its entire existence, surpassing certain countries that we know. Furthermore, with the safeguards in place, radiation is so minimal that you could receive more radiation from a day at the beach than a month working next to a reactor onboard.

Nuclear power can be harmful is precautions are not met. But then again, any power generator can be dangerous if not managed correctly (think of a problematic dam or overloaded transformers at electric plants).

There are many things in life that are both useful and harmful. Take cars for example. Their usefulness is obvious but they kill thousands of people every year. Electricity itself is both useful and harmful. It's an efficient way to transmit energy but it also kills many people every year via electrocution accidents.

Nuclear power's usefulness is it's ability to produce electricity without polluting the atmosphere with carbon and sulfur and greenhouse gasses. So far, it has not been harmful, but there is the potential for harm in the radioactive waste nuclear power produces.

Nuclear power is extremely use full. Fission which is what we use today produces waste in the for of radioactive spent fuel. Fusion which is what powers the sun is much cleaner and more efficient energy source but much hard to control. Fusion test reactors have been built but currently require more power in than they get out.

Both. It provide "clean" energy (from a greenhouse gas perspective) and is extremely effecient compared to fossil fuels. The downside of course is radioactive waste and damage done from a meltdown.

It's also harmful from a standpoint of nuclear proliferation. Certain types of reactors can be modified to become "breeders", which produce weapons-grade plutonium.

both ,there r 2 types of nuclear powers -nuclear fusion & fision
they r used to generate electricity& water pumping but nuclear fusion is more powerful it was is used in making of atom bombs as it it emits radioactive radiations & can cause somatic & external problems so it can be devastating the bomb which destroyed hiroshima & nagasaki were made due to experiments in nuclear fusion& u r aware of their disastrous consequences but if we use it for useful purpose such as generation of electricity & as a fuel in planes it will serve us gratefully.i hope i am able to solve ur problem

It is qualitative as you can use it superdly without ofseting green house effects. However, in possible quantity, the cherynobly find might be next. Do you feel the possible quantity of us wanting it possible to making it possible to realising it would install a fear of tragedy. But in progress, the union must post dust. As we all installed the quantity but who is the program?

both way, i do not imagine we ought to consistently be throwing some thing contained in the sea. We created the waste so we prefer to put off it in a perfect way. this may impact many stuff; the pollution can impact the animals contained in the sea and may also impact the water. Affecting the water contained in the sea could have an result on the elements, the position do you imagine our rain water comes from?

Both. It produces power, which is useful and it produces radioactive waste, which is harmful.
