Never seen a live one.

I've seen a few "exorcism" specials on cable TV, especially when they go into the southern deliverance ceremonies and people are rolling on the floor and making odd noises. The pastors in their interviews actually come across as sincere, not charlatans (although I know there's a bunch of crooks out there), so I'm not sure what to make of it.

As far as movie exorcisms: The movie "The Exorcist" was based on the real case of a young man in the late '40's. "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" was based on the case of Annalise Michel back in the '70's. You can't take either as "accurate" due to the nature of drama (they spice things up, change what they want to make things interesting), but the basics are there.

I know at least one person who participated in an exorcism or at least the "casting out of a demon." He didn't want to talk much about it and seemed very unsettled by the experience. I think when you see the real thing, there's something about it that bars sensationalism.

Someone close to me once told me her priest spent time an institution in California for members of the church who had psychiatric problems or just needed a retreat, and a separate section for hopeless posession cases. Apparently the whole compound is very secretive. He worked there as an orderly in his early days of service. He was asked to help out on one exorcism in particular and he walked into the room where a young man was strapped to a bed. The tray of impliments he was carrying suddenyl levitated from his hands and shot clean across the room where it crumbled against the wall and stuck there. After that he said he ran from the room in terror.

Me personally, I have never seen one nor do I know anyone who might have been possessed. The whole thing creeps me out!

I actually have performed 10 exorcism which in Christianity we call deliverance. Spirits continuously come out of someone mouth by coughing, yawning, throwing up, etc. Deliverance isn't a ritual its better about understanding the authority jesus gave you luke 10:19-20 and also you commanding the spirits no longer praying to God yet commanding the spirits to the pit, pray agiasnt any unfavourable uncomfortable aspect outcomes if its a ailment demon, be careful to no longer lay hands on someone until eventually the approach is over or in case you prayed over your self in the previous the approach. human beings could nevertheless have little ones wounds that you may heal first that they could let bypass of to get the demon out. there's significantly better to concentration on.

I know an elderly lady who went to a pentecostal church who witnessed a teen boy , who was tormented by demons (or such) and she said the men in the church laid hands on him (this is wild) and he started spewing out an unintelligible language and vomited everywhere. Exorcism? I have no idea!

well I don't know about fakes ones. But I've seen an exorcism. the demons r just playing tricks and illusions on you but cannot harm you, as long as you believe in Jesus, other power will not effect you. Your faith need to be strong.
