Going to the dentist is a real downer, I'm terrified. I get scraped and tugged at and poked and apologies. The dentist shouldn't be so rough that they have to apologize about it ya know? I feel like they are going to rip my teeth out of my head. And the spit sucker thing, is really awful.

I remember being a kid and my parents took me to get a filling where the dentist used a sound box and earpiece and no novacane. The box had 1-10 and you were to turn up the volume as the pain increased. It is somehow supposed to keep the pain away but it didn't work! To this day when I hear John Denver singing Rocky Mountain High it makes my teeth hurt!
Another time the syringe jammed 3 times before one worked. On another occasion I opted to be asleep for the proceedure.I went under staring at an art painting of some tribal ceremony and had the worst nightmare of some sadistic ritual...needless to say, I detest going to the dentists office. LOL
One more weird story.I was 17 and went to get my teeth cleaned after school. When I arrived I got right in and quickly noticed that he had sent all the nurses home early,he locked the door and hit a button opening up this secret hideaway nook behind a bookcase that he apparently used to seduce girls. He put the move on me!
It was freaky creepy.

I don't care for my current dentist. He's messy when he works. There's always water on my face. And he presses too hard on my jaw. My jaw will hurt until the next day if he has to do a filling. I never had that problem with my previous dentist. So if you're a new dentist keep that in mind.

***I moved so that is why I don't see my previous dentist anymore. And I don't have a mouthful of cavities. I had one filling that broke. This dentist has had to redo it three times now.

A long time ago I had a dentist who pulled 2 wisdom teeth without waiting for the Novocaine to kick in-actually it never did- I guess I was screaming so loud that he bent down and whispered in my ear "if you don't shut up I will leave your tooth half out-you are scaring my other patients so SHUT UP" I was in the chair for 3 hours as he pulled and ripped at my gums and teeth-I felt every thing-I was crying for a week after-just the thought of him made me cry and sob like a baby-I tried to control it but couldnt
I found out later that he ran off into the woods leaving his business and family and was never found again-he was mentally crazy!
To this day-if I walk into a dentist my eyes start tearing, I shake uncontrollably, and start hyperventilating
I did tell my current dentist the same story and he now gives me zyanex to come get my teeth cleaned or worked on-hes really awsome

I dont mind the dentist, I plan to become one when I get out of school. I havent had any bad experiences but am pretty nervous about some surgery that I'm meant to have done soon. other than that I dont mind the dentist. I dont enjoy going but I dont have to be dragged in either.

My husband and I went to a dentist that decided that we needed all this work done. He started a root canal on me and then proceeded to do fillings and other things before ever finishing the root canal. Also, everytime we went we had over an hour wait in the waiting room. It was a big mess.

I love going to the dentist... but I have pretty perfect teeth, so im not sure what all that pain business is about.

Do you have any old tools you want to sell to me? I sculpt, and dentist tools are ideal!

I dated a dentist for almost two years. It took away any dental fears, obviously.

But, seriously, being around him and his fellow dentists, made me appreciate their hard work and dedication
