Why shouldn't you call people late at night while they sleep? Can't they sleep some other time?

Caller ID's shouldn't have been invented. There are people out there that love to prank phone call people because they think it is funny.

Would you like to be prank-called to at the wee hours in the morning and probably in your deep sleep mode? No - then don't wonder why there are caller IDs because some people have the right to get some good and sound sleep. And yes, kudos to the one who invented caller IDs so we people (who are normal and sleeps on our convenient time) can screen calls whenever we want... And it's not funny to make prank calls - it's just plain Stupid, with a capital S!

You can block your number from coming up on a caller ID and a *69. Not sure what the code is but you can still prank call people!

It's funny in a strange way...Sometimes I call people when I can't sleep and I like to imagine what they think when the phone starts ringing. Last time I called a friend at 3 am just to check if he is awake (he wasn't until I called lol). What can I say? It's kind of cool to do that even if many people hate it. If they don't want to be disturbed they should block the phone during the night.

I have two young daughters and EVERYONE knows that unless you're dying you don't call me after 9 unless of course you plan on driving over and reading a bedtime story or rocking a baby to sleep. Some smartass has taken to calling me 3 or 4 times throughout the night and blocking their number from caller i.d. I called my phone company and they told me that those who use the *67 feature to block their name are protected by law and they can't tell me who it is. You prank callers get plenty of protection- it's those of us that have lives and work for a living that don't.

That's a pretty selfish notion. I love Caller ID!! Screens all calls!But not for nothin'---when I was immature prank calls were all the rage!!Like to the Chinese restaurant or the Pizzeria!! The good old days.

Oh yea that's great!
I used to work nights and repeatedly told people not to call before 3pm, people rarely listened so the worst offenders would get phone calls from me at like 3am.
I called my landlord once at 3am to tell him the light was out in the hallway,lol, he never called before dinner time after that.

Ummmmm I tell people unless your dying or house is on fire you best not be calling me after 11:00pm......it's just rude to call people late at nite when you know they are sleeping
