Morals are the lessons we learn that help us to act in ways that are decent or human.
The reason that morals are defined so broadly beyond that is because different cultures, peoples, and religions define what is decent differently.

Morals are the rights and wrongs that are determined by the current society. Not to be confused with ethics, which are individual values of right and wrong. A great example is Huckleberry Finn, where the morals of the day deemed it Huck's responsibility to turn Jim in as a slave. But Huck's ethics, or his heart, told him that slavery is wrong.
