Bibles are placed in hotel rooms by Gideons International. They are placed with the permission of hotel management. Many people's lives have been changed for the better by reading one of those hotel bibles, including people into prostitution, people addicted to drugs and suicidal people.
Why mess with a good thing?

It been known that there are a lot of Christians and Jews and other RELIGIONS that read and believe in the Bible.Also The Gideons have been known to have placed those Bibles in many hotel and motels.Now, why are they doing this? THERE are incidents in the past were people were so depressed they wanted to kill them selves.Sad to say they have gone to a hotel 0r motel to commit suicide. THE gospel of John speaks of hope and love and one must be born again, in the Bible.THERE is also spiritual hope that G-d loves you inside that BIBLE. IF you Go to the Book of Jeremiah in the BIBLE theres a message of hope that G0d has a plan to give you hope and a future.I believe that Bible is place there 4 spiritual hope.

most likely just to attract religious customers... and comfort them with a dumb book which isnt really interesting to read at all... i rather be working out on the hotel floor in my room or just relaxing and not having a care in the world...

when I get scarred or have a bad dream at night I put the bible under my pillow. Something my grandmother taught me along time ago. May be I'm not the only one, lol.

They are provided as a courtesy by local religious groups as a possible comfort to weary travelers. If you do not like it, tell the management and they will remove it from your room.

but its a great idea. ur room comes with comfort, wisdom, protection, salvation, truth and guidance all included and right at your bedside!!
the bible is the biggest selling book in the world, and the most read. cool
