There really is no way to say no nicely. You need to look out for yourself in this area. If no is what you want then no is what you need to go after. If he doesn't want to be friends with you after you say no then it is a REALLY good thing you did say no. Who needs people that are going to use you like that. If you say no and he stays with you, maybe later, no will turn into yes. Stay true to yourself and don't give into pressure. That will just lead you to misery.

You really need to let this guy know where it is your coming from. Explain the last boyfriend and what it did to you and also tell him that you're not over the hurt. He should understand and be ok about it. There really is no way to tell a guy that " he's not your type" easily. Explain that what you really need is a friend to be there for you and who knows, maybe in the future it will work out for both of you. Good luck and be nice.

Ok you say the bad boy is your type but the last bad boy broke yoru heart but instead of going out with him you want to find another "bad boy" because he isn't your type". I'd personally like to go over there and thump on your skull to see if your brains are still in there. Duh if you are going to keep lookin for bad boys your going to get the consequences! Do you put your hand in a fire and say owww that hurts then keep putting back in? C'mon. Tell him you don't want to go that fast but at least try.

Tell him you like him as a person, but that you are not ready for a comittment since you recently had your heart broken. If you want to continue to talk to him, try not to encourage him into thinking that you like him more than friends. Otherwise, he might go a little nuts..

You just need to tell him that you are not ready for a relationship. Tell him that you value his friendship and you want to continue being friends with him but you are not ready to get involved in a relationsihp again. Good luck to you, that is a very touchy situation.

Meet with him and tell him that your not ready for a serious relationship right now and that you'd just like to be friends. Do this right away, the longer you put it off, the harder he will take it.

Tell him that you think is is a nice guy, but you have figured out quickly that since you moved recently, now is not the time for you to start dating. you had a good time when you went, but it showed you you werent ready.

Tell him you have a 'very sweet friend' who's looking for a man, preferably with a 'great personality' and/or 'really bright'.
Then watch him run. Run, Forrest, run!

Say it just like you typed it. I would listen to that and not be upset. I think you conveyed your thoughts very well.
