Justification for bigotry and hatred. Sadly, that is done a lot. As for physically, it was something I saw on the History Channel. A Chaplin for POWs in the Pacific rim during WWII would loan bibles out. Turns out the men were using the pages as rolling papers for their cigarettes.

The word of God can be used many ways, it is really a solution to every problem, but, unfortunately, many don't see it that way. I have seen it being misunderstood many times. I guess hatred would be the answer as many hate bible believers.

the funniest thing i ever saw a bible litterally physically used for, was on tv when Kathryn Kuhlman (a lovely evangelistic healing woman of God) asked a little boy in a wheelchair what he wanted, and he said he couldnt walk or use his legs and wanted them to work again, so she grabs her huge oversized bible, and smacks the thing over this kids legs, really hard, and he jumps up healed!!!
YAY! Go the bible! Go God go!

My mate used to have a temperamental television; that used to keep buzzing (due to the vibrations, from the road outside), he used a bible to prop up the front, which in turn stopped the buzzing.

in our meeting we were teaching people about the Bible and someone who did not like what we were saying took the Bible they had and threw it on the ground. Strange that people treat God's word with such contempt, when God never used or abused them

I had a friend who used to use the pages in the bible as cigarette paper when he ran out. We use to laugh at how stoned he got on his "holy" spliff...The pages is real thin, so I guess it's not so bad for your health. I preferred smoking bongs though.

I've actually seen them used for reading! Usually by very insecure, gullible people who need a man-made God in their lives.
