I would love to hear from those who have done it or know someone who have lost this extreme amount of weight without the help of this deadly surgery.

I don't know about 200 lbs but if you check out weightwatchers.com I know there are tons of people who have lost 100 or better. I also remember attending meetings before and one woman had lost 150 lbs! So I think it can be done. It just takes a lot of dedication to diet and exercise which can be difficult with all the temptations there out there not to mention everywhere you turn there's a commercial for some new food some restaurant is trying to push. Weight loss at that magnitude will take quite a long time but I think too many people opt out for the easier way out and get the surgery. I guess ultimately it comes down to what works best for that individual person.

Gastric Bypass surgery is very safe today.Gastric Bypass Surgery/gastrectomy/lapband (all types of weight loss surgery) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your lobesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her obesity surgery in India throught the forerunners healthcare .SHe is more than very happy with the results. She has lost 55lbs in 5 months. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

Deadly surgery??? Hey, I'm alive and kicking and 110 lbs. lighter; I don't take insulin anymore and stopped one blood pressure medication. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Someone is feeding you a line of bull to keep you fat and miserable. If you had a heart problem, would you have surgery to correct it?? Damned right you would!

Now I have lost close to 300lbs. without surgery....I got a divorce from a lazy fat husband!!!
