I haven't seen it in person, but there's a 4 gigapixel (4000 megapixel) camera in use now.

If you are willing to drop $30k on a 39MP scanning back then that is great. If you want HUGE gigapixel images with about any decent camera just put the camera on a tripod with a proper tripod head and then stitch them together on your computer. The 16.7MP canon eos D1s MKII is the leader of the pack for SLR-type photography.

Sony Has 1 its called DSC-R1 it is 10.3 megapixels i have a sony digital caera its only 5.0 megapixels but i love it sony stands behind there products 100percent
