This particular breed are very vocal, and can become very attached to thier people. The most inportant thing is get another cat. Siamese need constant companionship. Somtimes we cannot be with them all the time. I have seen Siamese alone seem very emotionally twisted and untrusting. My Yoko loves her other fur sisters and is very well adjusted and loving of the whole family.

For the past 40 years I've had Siamese cats and have never had a mean one. They need lots of affection and interaction, but no rough play or they can get claw happy. They can be very vocal, especially if they haven't been spayed or neutered. Puff, my long haired Siamese, is 16 or 18 years old and is going deaf. Sometimes she goes into a yowling fit, which could be a result of pain in her back, hearing loss, or just because she's a bit confused. My roomie and I started saying, "It's all right," when she'd go into her screaming fits, and she now calms herself down by vocalizing in a way that starts out sounding like "awwwrye" and then progresses to "awe rye" and finally says "all right" clear as a bell and shuts up!
Siamese (1971 to present): Ming, Muff, Alfred, Puffanutter, Jr. Barnes, Puff
Part Siamese (since 2004) Ohsama - can be really nasty with teeth and nails without provocation

I had a Siamese for 2 yrs and had to put her down due to cancer and then got a stray Siamese that could pass as her twin, still have her now and she is just about 1 year old.
Siamese are different from other cats in their personality for the most part. Most cats want 5-10 minutes of attention per day and they are content. Some just are happy to be near humans without touching.
Now Siamese are different. Lease my two have been attention junkies. Worse than a 3 yr old child. They want to sit and eat with me, sit and watch the computer while I am on it. Want to play games they create. Both have created their own playing games with me. Both have had no fear of water and my current one, Wesa will even get in the shower with me and crab at me the entire time for being in there and getting wet. Siamese are very vocal cats, very demanding cats. They don't and won't wait for something they want.
Easy way...they are a 3 yr old spoiled rich brat. But out of all my cats, even the black ones w/ the great personality, the Siamese has to be my favorite. So loveable, so human almost.
Siamese are also dominant cats, they prefer to be the alpha cat if others are around. They sometimes take babies as a threat to this alpha status as well and have been known to swipe or claw a child.
Siamese demand to be treated as royalty, they want their food when they want it, they want to sleep when they want to and play when they want too.
Get on the cats schedule and all will be fine, after all, the cat owns you, you don't own the cat.

Siamese cats are reportedly the only domestic cat that can be released into the wild and survive. They are the oldest breed of domestic cat, and yet they seem to be the wildest. They are fiercely independent and they love to jump and "perch" up high above everything.
I would suggest buying or building a cat "habitat" for it. Siamese cats love to climb and be higher than everyone else so that they can see everything that is going on.

Siamese cat complain alot when you put them in cages because they feel trapped inside and they like to go on walks too I think. They can "talk" with humans (I have no idea what that means).

You should get "The Ulitmate Encyclopedia of Cats, Cat breeds, & cat care" the book because it helps SO MUCH. Or maybe you should get another cat encyclopedia to care care or something. The Book I suggested even tells you when you do your cat shots and stuff. Good luck!

Siamese cats have their own temperament. What I have been around them they want it their way or no way. Just be patient with them and watch and learn what they like and dislikes. A friend of mine has had nothing but Siamese cats. The one she has now lets you know if he wants petted and definitely when he wants to be left alone. Just takes work on your part, that's what my friend says

What do you want to know? Siamese are not good around babies and they them selfs cry like a baby. They are beautifull cats but can be finiky at times. They don't need brushing you should get a book on Siameses cats to know more about them.

Siamese cats are very dominant. They are a one on one type of cat. Other words, they do not like to share you with any other cats. They are loving, but, when they meow, it can be startling. I had one for about 7 years, she passed away. She was the most loving cat.

I have a beautiful Siamese cat. She is 14 years old. She has the sweetest personality and has never bit anyone. She is so good around babies and little kids, she has always put up with little kids. And most of all she grew up with pit bulls in the house so dogs don't bother her either.
