I see a fundamental misanthropy in a lot of answers here...

ace 2006 - I tend to tell people whom I've reported because I don't feel a need for anonymity. You can spam my question - I don't care - but you've spammed a lot of truth-seeking questions and that's not cool.

Easy_Life - I don't believe they're mutually incompatible, but a lot of the more religious types here seem to imply that they are.

"Believing in humanity" doesn't mean "believing that humanity exists" - it means loving and trusting humanity, getting strength from the human race.

By believing in humanity you are also in service to God. The conscious energy that makes up all living things is God. While I give unconditional love to everyone that I meet I am in fact giving unconditional love to God.

The worst is not believing in God. First, he does have a personal name such as all of us do...it's Jehovah. Secondly, just as all things have been created and designed by man, so too, the universe and all the beautiful things in it tell us that we should believe in God. Believing in humanity will come naturally because all humans reflect the qualities and love of our creator, Jehovah.

No one is righteous, but trying does have meaning. An inactive faith is a dead faith, it will not lead to salvation.
Righteousness is some kind of scale to measure your life by.Christian's believe we are one body with one head, all being lead in God's mission of humanity through faith one will enter heaven.
Another belief of obtaining afterlife is a scale based upon your own making.
Righteousness is not so much about doing right things, it's simply a scale to measure your life by.
You don't have to make a scale based on religion.

Certainly not believing in God. He is the alpha - the beginning.
Humanity - that came later, is temporal, is perishable, is imperfect, is dependent on God and cannot look after its own self, since the devil is in charge.
Read Jeremiah 10:23.
The arm of flesh will fail you - do not even trust your own - This is what humanity is - UNRELIABLE
I would'nt recommend believing in humanity

I personally think that not believing in god is somehow acceptable and it is a personal choice made by any one of us but not believing in humanity is not a choice since you are a part of it and you cannot just doom or ignore the power of the rest of humanity by not believing at it

Not believing in humanity!
Every race of human, has had their own "GOD" but the usual theme of their religion is humanity, who is to say that the Christian GOD is the true GOD of all GODs, to say that not believing in your GOD is greater sin than not believing in humanity is a contradiction, as humanity lets us believe in any GOD we choose as long as we treat others with dignity and respect.

I dont' agree with the Dr becasue Beliving in humanity is humanism. I think you cannot believe in something you already know exisits. But hoping in humanity we have been and look where it gets us.. moral relevitism. I think this is the major downfall becasue humans are fallable God isn't.

not believing in God. Coz Jesus was the greatest humanitarian that ever walked the earth, if u wanna believe in humanity, u gotta learn from the best.
plus, God gets u into heaven, people dont.
plus, with God, you can learn HOW to care for and believe in humanity. how to help, what to do, who to be. etc.

People that believe in God realize the weakness of man, and his imperfections. We really shouldn't believe in man, except for maybe to trust a man to do what is best for himself. God is much more important to believe in because it gives you hope to last through your troubles that will come. Man can not give another man hope, just help.
