Dude, I wouldn't tell you this, but I guess I would do it too if I wanted to get rid of an unwanted tattoo. Here is what my brother did and it was painful:
He rubbed the area with table salt every day. The skin gets red and raw; and he just kept doing it until he could see it was almost gone. This would be like having a road rash.
I know you can remove warts with aspirin so why not tattoos? To do a wart, you simply wet the area, make the aspirin wet also making a paste and apply it only to the area to be removed. Then cover it with a moist gauze pad/bandaid. Do it every night and it will be removed in about 10 days. I did do this to an over-pigmented place on my face and it worked. I'm not sure if it will work on a tattoo, but if you want it gone and don't have the money for a dermatologist, it's worth a try.
Just watch out for signs and symptoms of infection; like increased reddness, increased drainage, fever in the wound.
Good luck.

It has to be removed with a laser.. you should look in your local area
from what I have seen they do not remove 100%
a quick search on yahoo also found this product
http://dermasal.com/
(but again look at the 10 week photo)

I believe laser surgery is the only effective way to have a tattoo removed. This may still scar.
