don't bother with doing it like that man. Suspension geometry requires more than a hammer and a welder torch. You have to have a real knowledge of what's going on under there, or, even if you manage to attach everything, you risk damaging the parts or the vehicle itself...not to mention the safety issues.

Go to a custom car shop, tell em what you're after, and get an estimate, see if they'd be willing to help you do it 'on the cheap' but seeing as how you're talking suspension, steering, braking, and the car's resale value and general safety, be real conservative about doing invasive stuff like suspension lowering. Leave it to the pros, they've been over all the hurdles, know what to look for as far as problems. It'd be hell if your steering locked up for lack of wheel well clearance, or something. Change your plugs and filters, clean it, detail it, but other than that, leave the big stuff to the pros. You'll be glad you saved up the money and took it to them instead....

I agree with JDM. Lowering a car's suspension requires the installation of new springs (never, EVER, cut the springs currently in the car!) and could also require replacing several major suspension parts in order to make the car alignable again.

It can't be done in your backyard, unless you have a full auto shop available to you. It's also not cheap, even if you do it yourself. One of my classmates lowered their car (a late-model Honda) and it cost him $2,000--and that was just for parts!

So no. I've never done a backyard lowering job on my cars. :)

not the 1 that u buy all the parts . never never again, all the parts need just a little fileing just to fit. & the front lowered spindles were cheap & broke, good luck with that
