No, they were all Jews. Islam didn't even come about until after Jesus was born. His cross was labled king of the Jews. Moses was born a Hebrew Jew and raised by a pharoah until he found out his true calling and became a fighter for his people. Abraham is often said to be a father of Judaism.

It depends on your point of view. Muslims, Jews, and Christians all believe in the 5 books of Moses, so they all can lay claim to their religious status. Now Christianity was originally Jewish, before the split at the time of Jesus. And the Muslims split from the Jewish faith at the time of Abraham, when he chose Isaac over Ishmael. The Muslims believe that Abraham actually sacrificed Ishmael, who became a prophet. So, you see it depends on the different viewpoint of each religion. They all stemmed from the same!

None of them believed in the teachings of Muhammad, so none of them were Muslims. I'm not a Muslim, but I know that Muslims do not deny that there was a Jesus Christ, Moses, and Abraham. They do, however, deny the divinity of Jesus Christ and only view the three people you mentioned as some of the prophets of their religion.

Oh, and, besides, the answer you got and are referring to in this question seems impossible. Mohammad got his message 610 years after Jesus lived. The dates just don't fit right.

P.S. In response to some answers, Jesus was born a Jew, but he believed in his teachings and in his own divinity, so I guess that makes him a Christian.

No, that's not entirely accurate. There were no Muslims before Mohammed developed Islam. Jesus, Moses and Abraham are discussed in the Koran as important prophets, but they were not Muslims.

No it's not true. Jesus and Moses were jews. Abraham was the first called by God. I guess you could call him the father of what later became the jews. Islam started with Abrahams son Ishmael. Ishmael and his mother Haagar were bannished from Abrahams camp. Just as they were about to die in the desert. An angel appeared and saved them, leading them to another ppl. These ppl became the practitioners of Islam, because Ishmael brought to them the God of Abraham.

Christianity and Islam came from Judaism and the three religions shared the same history in the old testament. So the bible (old testament), Al Quran, and Torah are all the same!

Before Jesus, no one is called a Christian, and before Muhammad, no one is called a Muslim. Jesus is a Jew.
Arabs -however, are the descendants of Ishmael, son of Abraham, the half-brother of Isaac.

In Al Quran (Muslim's bible), Jesus is called "Isa." The prophet who miraculously heals others. Jesus in Christianity is the Messiah, Emmanuel, the Son of God, who came to heaven to save the people from the power of darkness. In Judaism, Jesus is not the Messiah, and they are still waiting for the coming of Messiah.

When Muslims say that all god's messenger are Muslims from this stands the answer comes Islam is not a religion that comes only when Mohamed become god's messenger but from the beginning from Adam and then Ibrahim Mosses and Jesus too they all reveled the same massage with some difference in the regulations but the main massage is GOD IS ONE AND ONLY

They were Jews. I have heard that many of the Jews are claimed by the Muslims. The Muslim religion ws not even in existence until long after Jesus was already gone. That would be like claiming they were all Mormon or any other name of any church that uses the bible or any part of the bible.

The answer from the holy Quran:
Ibrahim was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah's (which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah. 3:67
And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Ibrahim. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector, the best to protect and the Best to help! 22:78
And who turns away from the religion of Ibrâhîm (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism) except him who befools himself? Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.

Muslims consider the three of them to be Muslim. They equally consider all the Prophets to be Muslim. This is part of their believes and I respect it although I do not share the same believes with them. However, the word "Muslim" means the one that consider the existence of god as granted and an indisputable truth. So from this point of view they could be right?
