We are judged by what we do, not by how we are seen. But there are plenty of ways to take that. Do you do harmful things because of your habits? Does anyone else reap the consequences of your indiscretions?
If noone else is harmed, then it is only your.. oh, lets call it a 'weakness'. And it does not make you a bad person. Time and circumstance always conspire to make us weaker. What you do now does not mean you will be a drunken fool for the next decade. If, however.. you are still drinking a dozen years down the line..with a family, or around other people that know you, or have respect for you.. or basically anyone you can mess your life up with.. yes. Then its bad.
This is somewhat of a near-home matter to me. I drink heavily to rid myself of my..hm. Colorful childhood. Or rather, lack of a childhood. I do it at home, I harm noone else.. and after a couple years of doing so.. I cant remember much before my teenage years. Precisely what I wanted. And everybody knows that you shouldnt drink with friends. You do stupid things. You do stupid people. You dont have the necessary judgment. So because of your care not to harm anyone else.. that is what you should be judged by. Not because of some liquid or some act that you do to yourself. But whomsoever is affected is either the evil or the saving grace of the context.
Shalom. :)

one thing i believe in the lord and i am a baptist ministers daughter.. but he died 1 year and 2 months ago...i feel guilt cause i did not always live the way he taught and i have paid the price too..but we are none of us good or perfect... it says in the bible there is none good no not one but the lord hisself...but we should try and do what the bible has outlined for us to live by.. i went thorugh the spell of bars and drinking... finally i find that their is nothing in them for me... wrong reputation and the money that you waste on drinking...and drinking is a crutch.. i use to think i was having so much fun.. but you end up with hangovers , money gone, and you felt worse for it.. i got involved with men that really did not care at all for me..so i have wised up... drinking just loosens you up and you can do things you would not normally do.. i also got a dwi and that ruined me.. i cannot afford the insurance and the cost of the dwi and all you had to do was not worth it.. i could of bought some things i really need and like to have had with the money i spent paying the courts...so now i do not expect to get my drivers license back...i really wish you could find other ways to enjoy yourself and stop the drinking so much.. maybe a occasional drink in your home with friends... that does not make you a drunk or bad...try to do what is best for you... i try to follow the 10 commandments and a person should go right... but there is one of them i break ... and i ask god to forgive me.. i do not break it very often any more... but i have did my share of wrong in gods eyes.. but i believe in the lord and i pray and believe he knows what is in my heart.. it is our decisions we make that gets us into trouble sometimes...helping others is good.. i have done that to much too.. cause people anymore do not care and they say they will pay you back and they never do.. you can have a lot of so called friends but real friends is hard to find.. ones that will really stick with you and help you and be there for you...i do not think you are bad at all but i hope you do cut down on your drinking... i am just giving you some advice that i have learned in my years and i hope it helps you....good luck and the best to you...

I don't believe that people are good are bad. People make good and bad decisions, but all people have inherent worth, and meaning. Every day is a new day. Make the most of it. We all have our downfalls, but what is most important, in my opinion, is how we treat other people.

Drinking does not make you good or bad. Your actions and thoughts in life are what matter. Drinking is a dis-ease. The cure is to stop.

I pray that you will stop the drinking all together.
But I don't believe drinking is a sin, it's what people do while they are drinking that is the sin. Same for any person drunk or not.

only to your-self !!! and you deserve just as good if not more the same treatment your giving others !!! we as christaians are to love our-selfs as we love our neighbors!
look in the mirror and start loving and allow god to love who you seein that mirror ( you!) you are worth it!
drinking is only the symptom of emotions or memorys ect we want to forget and not feel... your not bad for drinking ,you need to find out why you do,and allow god to help you!to set you free from it ..he did me ,he will you too.
