“I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Jesus is saying here that unless we are lost sheep of the House of Israel, we cannot be saved. So the woman is in trouble since she's not of the House of Israel! And the disciples are in trouble because they are of the House of Israel, but they aren't lost! Who then shall be saved?

All who consider themselves as the 'lost sheep' both the Jew and the Gentiles(non Jews) wii be saved.

This woman is a Canaanite . She also had Greek nationality (Mark 7:26) which means she was a Gentile. This woman was pleading for Jesus' help but was initially ignored. Jesus must have been testing her faith as he ultimately heals her daughter.

Jesus went beyond his silence to say that his ministry was to the Jews (Mat 15:24) which is the one you quoted. “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” ie the Jews.Jesus ministry was initially to the Jews and it was to spread later to the gentiles.

In the very next verse, this woman was acknowledging Jesus as Lord and worshipping him. The gentile woman saw the Jewish messiah Jesus as God.(Mt 15:25). She also appealed 'Lord help me' which is what all sinners do to get forgiveness from God.

In Mt 15:26, Jesus tests her further by saying that ' it is not good to take the children's bread and give it to the little dogs' The words children and little dogs were common references to Jews and gentiles then.

The woman persists that she would then have the crumbs.

Jesus finally responds 'O woman. great is your faith. Let it be to you as you desire.' She had passed the test of faith and perseverance.

Jesus had not immediately met her need but that made her persevere with her faith and finally she was answered.

The passage mentions nothing about salvation - that is only your presumption. It is about him deciding to heal a Cannanite woman's daughter (though he was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel).

Sheep have a tendency to no longer have various an opinion on the existence of God one way or different. They in particular think of roughly grass. Or approximately having intercourse with different sheep. rather very resembling farmers, easily.

No I'm not a sheep period. The "lost sheep" were those who were worshiping the bloodthirsty demiurge and sacrificing truck loads to sheep daily. He (logos; serpent) attempted to open their eyes (their minds) but not only did they not listen, they even "killed" him! (not really since you can't kill the eternal, and he was "laughing at their ignorance", hehe).
