I have heard several ways in the format:
Your actual strokes/Strokes your allowed(with handicap then the points
OR
Actual strokes/Stroke for the hole minus your handicap then points

Very confused

You can actually do both. You can keep track of the actual strokes (gross) and handicap (net), and use the Stableford after you have calculated.

Of course, make sure that you know which you are submitting if you are playing in a tournament. Typically, for tournament play, it's your first entry: Total strokes, stokes after handicap, then points.

I will first write the normal stroke, then when I get back to the clubhouse, I will change it to stableford

you write your gross score first . then your net score. then points in the points column. 1 over=1pt. par=2pts. 1under=3pts. 2under=4pts. 3under=5pts. a par round of golf is 36pts.

You use a pencil and the scorecard. remember that if you use a pin to draw blood you could put yourself and others at risk for infection.
