I do, for the second time, at age 45 :-(
The first time, in my teens, the orthodontist removed 6 teeth, plus my 4 wisdom teeth cut out, explaining that my jaw was small and it was necessary to align them properly. Well, I had wanted veneers as an adult, and the dentitsts and orthodontists I saw showed me how my teeth don't match up now, top to bottom, bo I don't have a complete bite, and wear down and chip away at other surfaces. So, now I have a sort of protruding chin, because the jawline has receded, and am trying to regain some of the integrity of my profile, while realigning my teeth. I have had them on again for almost 2 years now, with maybe a year to go, and will have a permanent retainer inside my bottom teeth to keep them from "falling back".
