Are they a breed specific to Singapore?

I think they are specific to Singapore, they are called singapuras, I think it has something to do with them living in the sewers, their bodies have adapted to that liefestyle I guess. I have attached a link for a breeder of these cats in the UK, they are now becoming pedigrees but they do have tails here, do they look like this in Singapore?

they might be but sometimes people just cut their tails
