You can't predetermine you amount of time. It depends on the couple. My fiancee and I were dating 8 months when we knew we were going to marry and 10 months when we actually got engaged. It takes some people 15 years to get to an altar. I have also know people who has gone from meet to marry in a week. Just depends

I dont think you should-- old fashioned is me but breaking up os the absolute final--- you can't just break up and come back after your'e married-- marriage is a legal document-- as well as a commitment to your partner and a nice shiney ring!!

But joking aside-- make sure you are sound first- before getting married it's much harder and costly to get out of if it all goes wrong

It depends on why you broke up. If it was something silly, then soon after would be appropriate. If it was something serious and hurtful, then wait at least a while so that you can reasses your relationship and think about being with this person on a long term capacity (if you can trust/depend on them). Dating is much easier than marriage.

Best advice, use your intuition and go with your gut.

Only you and your partner can answer this, honey.

It depends on so many things. How long were you together before, why did you break up, etc.

Have you thought of having one or two sessions of couple counselling? Or just talk it through together and see what feels right.

Good luck.

We in our life,
break up with a neighbor and still get along later.
similarly with friends/business people/colleague etc.
Than why not get along again with a partner with whom we
have parted earlier.
Trust me..if the break up was due to a serious integrity issue
than the re-limk wouldn't work long term. Beware!

If I get on a plane, have a layover and get off the plane for a while, then get back on the plane how long before I land?

I would be careful. why did you break up?? Ha that problem been resolved... PROPERLY. If not you won't end up seeing the wedding. If that has been resolved then you should get married when you both feel ready for it. x

Long enough to see whether the problem which led to your breaking up wont crop up again.
