I don't think Americans Have a complete democracy like any other Asian Countries do have. There had been many conversory always happening in Presidental Election. If you had heard the speech last time election propoganda you can see it. Other wise, majority of people in America do like war and killing the people. But I don't think so, although they had criminal cutlure in back ground.

I have seen some answers here, don't consider american in one category. Unfortunately many americans have this problems. Americans have superiority in their thinking pattern.
And other answers here it's like very pathetic. No one has answered correctly to your question.

If Americans don't change their attitude to other nations, they have to suffer, see the Latin American countries Have been changed. I don't think If any Indian can support to America today. Moreover, day by day Indians comment against americans.

It is surprising how many have a mind set that will not let them really look at the facts! Clinton and Bush seem to have both drawn these extremes.

If Bush truly wanted to steal oil and kill all these people, he could just nuke all these areas, wait for the radiation to subside and take all the oil he wanted.

In terms of Americans picking presidents, Americans usually get poor choices for any elected office. You pick candidate A who is bad or candidate B who is worse.

For one thing, both presidential elections involving George W. Bush were extremely tight races--since English appears to be a second language for you, I'll explain that a tight race is one that either side could have won. Unfortunately, for the first race, GWB came out LOOKING like the better candidate than Al Gore. I think that he did respond to the initial attack better than Gore would have. For the second race, we didn't have a strong enough Democractic candidate because we didn't look into his background far enough--but we also found out that we didn't look into GWB's enough, either! At that point, it was a toss up, and GWB won.

The only people in this world that I think should not exist any longer are those with the intention of harming innocents. It doesn't matter to me if they are Islamic, African, Asian, American, European, Australian, or if they decided to do research on Antarctica, they should no longer have the option of living on this planet if they want to harm innocent citizens of it. That is a very strong belief for me.

I wish that we could forsee the future. Then we could tell who would commit a violent crime and lock them up before they did it--wait, they made a movie on that and it didn't turn out to be such a good thing. Still, I wish there was some way of preventing it, but there's not, so we just have to react. If you want, you can host all of the violent criminals in the world in your country, let your taxes pay for their upkeep for the rest of their lives. Me, I'm all for the death penalty when necessary instead of life sentences because I'd rather see my tax money go towards something useful to my society, like schools, roads, the economy, etc.

It's a grand moral dilemma. Which is worst, to stand idly by and watch people blow each other up out of ignorance and hatred - or get involved to end that?

When you get involved - how far should you go?

Well, America has by far the most powerful military in the world.
And the most peaceloving peoples in the world.
Fortunately for YOU...we don't stand idly by. We get involved 100% and do exactly what is necessary to end what is happening. Sometimes diplomacy works.

Other times, as in the case of Saddam Hussein...after 14 revisions of a peace treaty HE sued for...it was high time to envoke a greater action beyond diplomacy.

Bush ... has never killed for oil and wishes not to kill innocent people of any country ...
However, there are Americans like me...that will face down any terrorist, to keep our country and it's peace loving people free.

No one, prays for peace more earnestly, than an American soldier. Because only an American soldier knows the horrors of war.

God bless the defenders of our freedoms - God bless American soldiers.

Are you familiar with American Democracy? Just because Bush is president does not mean that everyone loves Bush or all of his policies. There are many, many people who don't like war, don't like Bush, and did not vote for Bush, but live in a democracy so they must live with him as president until re-election. Note the protests that take place across America in protest of war, specifically the one held on Feburary 15, 2003.

First off, kinda unfair to say Bush represents ALL of us Americans. I didn't vote for him. I don't care for the man's politics at all. So he hardly represents me. Now, I would agree with you if you said Bush represents American Gov't.
And as far as war is concerned, um, we don't get to decide these things. The President and the other politicians decide this without our vote for or against. So again, to say he represents all of us is unfair. And no one knows what another person is going to do. Did you think we have ESP and could tell he loved war BEFORE he was elected? Come on......

first, no majority of americans EVER voted for Bush. there are so many americans out there who absolutely detest bush and everything he has done in america's name over the last 6 years.

second, there are lots of people who have been misled-- by bush, by the slanted media, by republican slime machines. and perhaps in the last year or so, americans are starting to wake up and see the mess in iraq as what it is.

third, bush wasn't elected as a "war president" in 2000, and in 2004 there were lots of other issues that brought voters out, namely the so-called "values issues" like gay marriage, which bush and the republicans always trot out when they want to get a boost in the polls.

there are so many good americans who love peace, want to protect the environment, and respect others. Don't judge us on the inane actions of one leader (and the rantings of a few loonies on the internet...)

Christian or Muslim, you still don't know what you're talking about. I find it odd how you say we want war but at the same time you're on this public forum bashing us with hate. Right now I live in Korea. I have friends from India and Iraq.
You are an idiot trying to stir up hate and trouble for the people of the world. That's ok. I don't hate you; I just know you want attention.

We are just like you. We get to vote every four years. They lie to us and lie to us. We have no more control over our Government than you do..

Please lets stop the hate..

We do NOT like this war. If you would actually check into it, You will find that most Americans are NOT happy with Bush and this war.

Oh and that oil thing, Jeez I get tired of that.. Is that the best reason you can come up with? For your information.. America gets over 80 percent of our oil from CANADA and the Gulf of Mexico. A really far piece from you...What that possible has to do with YOUR oil is beyond us.. How the heck would we even GET it here. PULEASE people.. Stop this..

Our children are dying as well. We do NOT think, like he does.. We are appalled at him and his cabinet.. And his actions..

They told us that they were going after Osama Bin Ladin because he was behind the murder of over 3000 innocent men, women and children in the world trade towers, that they flew the panes into (in afghanastan) .. We are mad about that for sure. Those folks had nothing to do with anything. Those babies certainly never hurt anyone.. Yes we are mad.. But we have NO idea how he took us to IRAQ... He lied to us.. Out and out lied..

Please don`t blame all of us.. We feel just like you do.. I would like to apologize for any American that caused you any pain..

Don`t hate. Hate hurts the hater ...

God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

No..No...
Americans did not elect Bush to kill others, OK...some Americans might be, but we are talking about the majority, they elected him thinking he bring more prosperity and stability in their life.
He and his gang has fooled a lot of Americans, and once he is in power he he went on a rampage....
