its like this .
there is only one god ! the trinity makes up a whole diety.
like a apple for a exsample:
the apple is made up of three parts the skin.pulp or meat of the apple and the seeds. take them apart they are three seperate parts ,put them together they make one .
that is how god is he has three parts to him that make up a whole (one god) !!!!

It is so very simple...
I am a woman
I am a wife
I am a mother
I am a grandmother
I am a sister
I am a cousin
I am a niece
I am a friend
I am a person
I have a flesh body
I have a soul
I have a spirit
I am one Being

The flesh embodies the soul.
The spirit is the intellect, attitude and personality that reflects and animates the soul.
One human-being with many aspects that serve unique roles.
This concept is the same.
God the Father
God the Son (Jesus)
God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Trinity (trinity meaning 3)
GOD is LOVE
GOD is ALPHA & OMEGA the beginning and the end.
God is the WORD and the WORD is GOD.
HE is one in the same.

Ahmed_j is a yahoo user, is a boy, and is Muslim...is that 3 different people or 3 into one? This how trinity is explained. Like God , we are trinity, the body , the soul and the spirit. They connected to each other and they makes what you are as a human being.
PS: God and allah are not the same by the way

There was no doctrine of a "trinity" untill 325 A.D. at the council of Nicea. The original christians which were the Apostels, the 120 in the upper room on the day of pentecost and all of their converts listed in the bible were never taught of a "trinity" So I would be more inclined to believe a "christian" that does not believe in a trinity.
This Falls in line with the whole bible! I also know that a lot of trinitarians wold quote the gen. scripture where it says "and God said let us make man in our image" The word elohim(god) can be used as a plural. But this goes against the teachings of the jews. The word also is a superlaitive which is the same as "the lord of host" So God could have been speaking to angels. This would be more inline with biblical teaching. Then there will be those who argue that if there is no trinity that this is denying JESUS as diety. This is not so, The bible plainly calls him The father, the mighty GOD in the book of isiah. In the book of job 9 verse 8 it says that GOD alone treads the waves of the sea. Jesus walked on water! Jesus was crucified for claiming to be GOD. The book of john calls him God. Thomas called him God. There are several epistles that end with the saying "God Our Saviour" If they are not the same then WHO is the saviour? GOD, or JESUS? I would have to accept them as christians! In the book of John 3:13 jesus was talking to nicodemus and was talking to him and claiming to be in heaven at the same time. This is omnipresence. Only God is omnipresent. Jesus also said that where ever 2 or 3 are gathered togather in my name There AM I in the midst! I am sure there are more than one group in the world at any given time gathered togather in his name! If he is not omnipresent then he lied! JESUS does not lie!

Look at God like an egg. An egg has a shell, a white, and a yolk, but it's still an egg. Christians believe in only one God, but we realize that God has different aspects. In a sense you could say that when Christ died on the cross for our sins, God cracked his shell so that we could feed on the rest of the egg. God uses his Holy Spirit to spread His love and work through us. Does that make sense to you now?

Trinitarians believe that the Father, Son, and Holy spirit ARE one being.

Non-trinitarians believe in the existance of seperate entities, and that Jesus is NOT God nor is A god. Just the son of god, and a mortal.

The doctrine of the Trinity was forced upon the Church by the Roman Emperor Constantine in the fourth century. It was a common belief that was held by many Greeks and Romans, and they interpreted the teachings of Jesus in accord with their previously held beliefs. Once Constantine became the ruler of the Church, he homogenized the doctrines of belief, and all Christians were forced to accept the doctrines of the Emperor -- or die ( http://Ebionite.com/prologue.htm )

There is one God. The Creator of Heaven and Earth. The Great Spirit of peace, love, and kindness.

Old days people sacrifice lamb, sheep, doves to cleanse their sin. But some of them continue to sin and because of this they grieve God. They tried to seek for answers for their problems, but they could not find it. They tried to reach out to God, but because of their sin, they could not understand God's instructions. So, God sent His Son, a.k.a part of His Spirit, down to earth to clean people's sin through his sacrifice (Jesus - The Messiah / Emmanuel). Jesus rose again in the third day, and before He left to Heaven, He left His Holy Spirit to be our guide and comforter. Thus the term Trinity.
