First find out where he is getting his ideas. Second, remove the source.

maybe draw with him and color when he's done ask him casually what the picture is about, but seem positive no matter what comes out of his mouth, half the time kids link their drawings to things they see, my 5 yr old boy used to draw horrific pictures, it turnded out that whilke at a freinds house for a sleep over they watched horror movies, this was his way of processing what he had seen, at other times it was just a pokeman causing destruction. talk to him about his pictures but make it seem like quality time, casual conversation, and don't be neg. or interigating like. Also all my kids liked dark colors and would pick them before the bright ones and none of them are messed up

Have your parents to come and speak with the teacher and then, they can get him to a counselor or psychotherapist who can evaluate his mental status and give him some guidance to change his thinking to become more positive. Do not allow him to watch television shows and movies that are not suitable for young children. Some of those can really be very upsetting to young children. Watch for the ratings and monitor what he is allowed to see.

i think first you need to find out why he does this before you can actually do something. Does he watch a lot of television and is he allowed to watch whatever he wants? this may be a problem. Children are not old enough to know what is real and not real. Maybe you should take him to a counselor... or maybe your pastor or priest can recommend something. What does his teacher think you should do about it? Teachers sometimes give good advice or even referrals

Though he is quite small even to start a conversation regardingthis. Still you can probably take him somewhere little away, and start asking him small question and can get to know what is all that behind him doing this. But u shd be again mature enough to handle this. Otherwise bring this to your parents notice.
