It is caused by rupturing capillaries in your nose. basically they can be from severe climactic changes, picking your nose, blowing your nose too hard etc. But I would still go to the doctor because it could be a problem with your blood not clotting correctly.
good luck
(I have them too)

I was born with this problem. It's usually a hereditery thing that causes the veins in your nose to be weak, and sensitive to dryness. When I was 12 the nosebleeds got so bad that I was in the hospital for three days still bleeding. But I got an operation for it called Rhinoplasty. And since then I've only had two nosebleeds, and I'm now 21. Talk to your doctor and see what he/she says. It could very well be the same thing.

I knew a couple of people that got those exact nosebleeds, and it turned out they both had high blood pressure. Get it checked out, as high blood pressure can be dangerous, if not treated.

could be dry air, or allergy or irritant. Blood vessels to close to the surface of the nose, even anemia.. See your Dr to get proper testing or see if you need to have it cauterized...In the mean time don't use nasal sprays that dry the nostrils (there is new lubricating ones)
keep humidifiers around or take steamy showers, and very important..don't hold head back when pinching off the bleed hold it forward (helps to put elbow on knees to keep head low).

clean your nose out with cool water aft each nose bleed will help to reduce the dried blood causing further damage to the soft tissue inside your nose. every morning, try to clean your nose by splashing cool water into your nostral or gently breath small amount of water half way up your nostral to soften the "stuff" and just gently blow them out. this will allow minimum damage while the tissue heals... when your nose bleeds, don't lean back and allow the blood to flow back into your throat, keep your head level or slightly downward and pinch your nose. if you like, you can use a cold pack on your nose to help stop the bleeding. i use to just let it drip into the sink and splash cold water on my nose.... the bleeding will stop after a while and my nose would not be all clogged with blood. when i used to lean back while my nose bleeds, the blood would dried inside and cause irritation and would cause the nose to bleed when i try to clean them out.

it may be due to reduction in your blood platelets, so refer to a blood specialist physician as soon as possible. cause it's a very important and urgent problem for your health.
good luck.
