I don't think I can call police for my neighbors tumping around a night (enought to wake their downstairs neighbor) should I have done this last year when it started? They had the nerve to complaint to the lanlod that I knocked on the wall/ceiling. Hmm not why would someone knock three times at 3am!!! I though it'd be less polite to knock on the door (not to mention get dressed) that early in the morning. They drop things, stomp across the floor which actually now rattles my windows. Move furniture (which I once hoped was them moving out no such luck) and favorite is when they run around with their dog it's three againest one here in this little studio. The lastest is running a very powerful fan which even earplugs don't bock out above 33 bds. I even thought of sleeping in my bathtub to try to escape the concougphy but no luck there bath room is above mine. M other neighbors say they never heard me. 3taps on the ceiling with a rubber ball pales in comparsion 2 their daily noise level

They have alreayd retailiated. They are doing it now. They know that there is nothing I can do to block out their high pitch fan so they turn it up at night. I thank God if I wake up and don't hear it but last night I was up until 7am when they turned it down (not off mind you)
They also made a complaint to the landlord that I was noisy (reffering to the time I tapped on the ceiling LAST YEAR) I got a notice today as if it happened yesterday, they've alredy shown their violent side and since I'm normally quite there isn't much noise I can made that would stop them. I don't want to be heard by my good neighbors.

we must remember that it is our duty to not to disturb the neighbour, and this should be the feeling of every neighbour. im so lucky that my neighbour are happy with me and they are with me. i treat other person as i wish to be treated. so try to teach them this message with kindness.and hopefully they will understand your expressions.

Have you tried talking to them in a friendly-not aggressive way about this? You would be surprised how many times that will put an end to problems. If that doesn't work and you cant or wont move, I would suggest keeping a record of the occurrences as they happen and if they are as loud as you say record them. Then talk calmly with the landlord and show him your evidence.Bringing in the police should be a last resort unless you fear for your life as it usually just makes things worse. This from years of experience as being an apartment manager .Good luck.

No, I don't think you can call the police for that, but you can complain to the landlord. If you are a good tenant, the landlord will be more likely to listen to you, and can give them warnings. Depending on the landlord's rules, they can be evicted if they're consistently too noisy. I feel for you, I've been there before. It's so hard to find good neighbors these days! Just be careful in your complaints, as you don't want them to retaliate in a nasty way (except that might help in getting them evicted, LOL).

i understand precisely what you're dealing with. I lived in a first floor flat for 2 years till the noise grew to develop into insufferable. I had neighbours lower than me who were wakeful 1/2 the evening, coughing and sneezing loud adequate to wake the useless. I had neighbours above me who gave the impression of a herd of elephants walking round by way of skinny ceilings. And to correctly all of it, I had a relations of four residing next door with 2 little ones who again and again ran backward and forward on the wafer skinny floor, causing noise and vibration on my own floor. when I moved to a clean flat, i theory my issues will be over, yet no such success. I back stay on the first floor and though thankfully do not have all people residing lower than or next door, the neighbour in the flat above also sounds like a herd of elephants walking round for hours at a time. How all people ought to stroll backward and forward a lot in one of those small flat is previous me. regrettably my flat is a privately rented one so there is little that i'm able to do except bypass to artwork with some tournament sticks to keep my eyes open at my table. that is poor.

my neighbour used to complain about how our feet echos in the night above him.
We told him that we are a family of five who gets into fighting each other often.
He should beware of his clothes hang outside his window for drying though, we will never know what happen to the clothes.

You can tell them off and strike the fear of God into them.
