We are told that all aliens are super intelligent, we are also made to believe they have telepathic capabilities. Have you not thought of "tuning" into her, and if you begin feeling thoughts of closeness etc, you may have actually accomplished making contact with her.
There is a lot to be said about the power of the mind, use what you have you just may be surprised. ;)
