Im planing on visiting guangzou city this fall and want to know if ok to visit there

i've been to guangzhou before and it's a wonderful city. problem is, they have tons of mosquitoes in summer, spring, AND fall so bring some bug repellent with you. the temperature in guangzhou around then is around 80 degrees farenheit.
yes, it is safe to fly there (unless something happens on way there and let's hope not) and it's safe to see

It is a safe place. It's one of the larger cities in China and thus has its share of hustlers and pick pockets. The people that pester you to buy the knock off watches do become annoying after a while. It is safe. Keep an eye on your valuables and wallet just like you would anywhere else in the world. Guangzhou is home of many international companies and foreign buyers. The whole world is there. It is a welcoming vibrant city.

I lived and work in Guangzhou for 2 yrs. As a foreigner it is a safe city... like the majority of Chinese cities.
But if you ask weather or not you should visit.. .my question is are u travelling there for business or pleasure?
if it's for pleasure change your destination! It's a matter of fact that there are not interesting historical place to visit or beautiful scenery.
It's a city for business not for tourism - same for Shenzhen (the Chinese city facing Hong Kong)

Nowhere is 100% safe or unsafe. I travel to Guangzhou for work on a regular basis and thank god I always return home in one piece.

yes, i'm from wisconsin and i'm here now. it's a big place, make sure you're with someone that can speak chinese or you'll be lost, big time. guangzhou is a big city and has crime just like any big city but it seems pretty safe, good food, beautiful women, as all chinese women are.and is very interesting.

Yep, it is safe to come to Guangzhou. A lot of foreigners here. As in any other places in whatever country, it has its share of bad guys, BUT, as long as you're cautious with your things and yourself, no need to worry. :)

i went to guangzhou, and i was quite safe. it def was not my favorite city in china, though. i love shanghai and beijing much much more than guangzhou.

Yes, it is safe? is that what you asked? of course but, be aware of yourself and your possesions. dont be mindless. especially be careful crossing roads. on the higher note: It's also one of the best shopping cities in the world. find the Gem market, find beijing road. find san shiao jiao road. (sorry, i butchered the pingyin.) walk the streets.
