A small bird that says it's name...chick a dee dee dee.

I had a baby one here for 1/2 day that the stupid cat brought in. It didn't appear hurt but I put it in my empty hamster cage until I knew it was over the trauma. It was very chirpy. Took it into the woods and let it go...it wasn't a small baby, just young so it flew away. Could hear other chickadees calling out in the woods.

A chickadee is a common bird to see around feeders in the winter and summer too. The common one is the Black capped chickadee, for the remarkable black area on the top of the head.
There are several kinds, depends on where you live which kind you have. A wonderful little bird to have around and watch.

It's a bird that makes a sound rather like it's name; chick-a-dee-dee-dee; hence it's name.
