There is One Pocket- You each have a pocket that ALL your balls have to go into- you keep score of number of balls sunk.
Three Ball- Who ever sinks them with the least number of shots wins
Cut Throat- 3 person game- each has set of balls 1-5, 6-10, 11-15- Try to sink your opponents balls when all your balls are gone you are out/lose.
Kelly Pool- Pronounced keelie- similar to cut throat but pick numbers from a bottle of numbered tokens ( other names pills/peas) First draw to see the order you shoot then to see what numbers you have. Numbers are not shown to other players until they sink one of your balls.

One of my favorite games involves three players. The balls are broken up into five different sets: 1-5, 6-10, and 11-15. The goal of the game is to get all of your opponents balls in, but none of yours. You set up all 15 balls and then somebody breaks. If a ball goes in, then the breaker gets to pick which group he or she wants to be (usually not the group that includes the ball that just went in, since that leaves the breaker at a disadvantage). Then the breaker contiunes on, trying to hit balls that are not in their group. If on the break no balls went in, then it is the next players turn, and if they hit a ball in, then they are allowed to pick a group and continue on playing. When a player does not hit a ball in, his or her turn ends, and the next player can go. If one player has already picked a group but his turn has ended, the next player can pick a group if they hit a ball in, or if they dont hit one in the next player gets to shoot and pick. If somebody scratches, then the two player who did not scratch each get to place one of their balls that have been knocked in back on the table near the break point. Last player to still have balls on the table with everbody else's balls knocked in wins.
