A difficult question to answer... There is no specific rule of how big a resort has to be. Some resort could be very small with a few challets. Some could be a tower building with vast expanse of land or beach.

It is difficult to determine this. There are many types of resorts. Some can cover immense area, some are boutique resorts with only a handful of rooms or units. So you will need to check out the information if you are contemplating to stay in one.

And different countries have different standard for an establishment to be termed a resort.

Yup, difficult to answer, but just an idea...from 6 rooms to around 500 rooms...
