The only difference between most 14 year olds and 80 year olds is experience.
This nonsense about people suddenly developing maturity at 18 is ridiculous.
I'm nearly 60 years old and I have never seen so much nonsense over such a trivial issue.
When I was a kid, girls got married at 13, 14 15 and had children.
Are we supposed to believe that those young women were more mature than women today?
When is this nonsense going to stop? A 14 year old is not a "baby" nor is she a "child." She is a young woman (or man for guys) entitled to make the same mistakes and decisions as anyone else.
It is not a "recipe for disaster" except for nosy old ladies who have nothing better to do with themselves than meddle in other people's business.
DISCLAIMER: No, I'm NOT looking for a date or "chat buddy," I'm just tired of this horseshit that 14 year olds are "babies."

Age doesn't really and truly matter in my opinion. I mean I'm in my older teens and my boyfriend is 22 and we have a very healthy relationship. and it's not about sex with us either, we are both virgins. So it's not necessarily a recipe for disaster. But i believe that 13 and 14 is to young to date at all. You really shouldn't date until your 16. 15 maybe if your very mature.

It is wrong, the age gap between people who are say 20 and 27 is not a problem as they are both mature sensible people who know what is happening but the age gap between say 14 and 20 is not the same as the 14 year proberly does not understand what they are really feeling and should not act on any inpulse they feel as this would be leagally wrong.
And I have always wondered why any person of that age (18 +) would seriously consider going out with someone below 16, can they not meet people their own age?
It is wrong and should be stopped.

Definitely... As we speak, I'm reading a paper about a pregnant 12 yr old.. What the f*ck is that about?? I was still climbing tree's at that age! What am i talking about.. i was climbing a tree at the weekend with my wee cuz, and I'm 22!! I love it!! Lol..
I see so many little girls that are in such a rush to grow up, They've got the make up, the clothes, the supposed attitude...I feel bad for them because when they finally do grow up, or are forced to grow up because of pregnancy or older men, that's when they realise they got it wrong and by that time it too late.
One thing is for sure though, if i ever have kids myself I'm going to promote young stupid behaviour in the right departments and education in the other departments and just let them be young!!

it is not OK.definitely! it is normal girls on that age to fell safer and older with boyfriends older than them. But the guys think on another way.they usually try to connect with younger girls just to use them(no matter what they say).and don't you think that on age of 13 or 14 is normal and more interesting to grow up and became more mature with teenagers on the same age.why would someone on age of 14 give their very beautiful teenage days to someone who already spend his teenage time with his friends(boys and girls)on his age?

You answered you own question there...because they are 13/14! Teenagers are not exactly renowned for common sense.
