You can take zinc to boost the healing of your throat, enchinacea for boosting your bodies immune system to speed up your own God given healing mechanism, and take goldenseal capsules or it would be a faster thing of healing if you could gargle with it. But I warn you goldenseal is VERY BITTER, and will stain your teeth yellow and anything else it touches.

To make a gargle of the goldenseal, you simply get some of the capsules and empty 2 or3 of them in some boiling water( about 1 and 1/2 cup) and let it sit for a few minutes. Then gargle with it while it is hot. Do this 3 or 4 times a day.

Garlic is a really good antibiotic as well as an anti inflammatory for the vocal cords that are inflamed and sore. Take 2 soft gels with your lunch and dinner. Eat dinner early or you might get heartburn from it. Garlic has a lot of sulfur in it , which is a natural antibiotic.

Don't eat spicy food or things rough like chips. Gargle four tims a day with warm salt water. PUt about a table spoon into a glass of very warm water. Keep as quiet as possible to let those cords heal. Stay out of dusty or musty places. Drink lots and lots of water. Eat soft foods Vit C is good and so is ecchenasia (sp?)
Get extra rest. Take a nice hot shower. Try to limit your coughing, as that can become a cycle that just gets worse and worse. Make your self a hot drink of hot water with lemon and honey in it. If it persists or you are running a fever you might need to check with you doctor to make sure you dno't have tonselitis or strept throat.

Basically NO!! The American Government has been taken by the Corporations, Congress from both parties are all corrupted by the Corporations, a Congressman when he retires becomes a Farma employee with 2 mill dol. a year. I think, until this can be corrected they will try to advance to make more and more money and we are the losers. Looks like we need a new Party with no Corporations compromise, this is easy to say but not easy to implement.

Alternative treatments include aromatherapy inhalations made with benzoin, lavender, frankincense, thyme, and sandalwood. Decoctions (extracts made by boiling an herb in water) or infusions (extracts made by steeping an herb in boiling water) can be made with red sage (Salvia officinalis var. rubra) and yarrow (Achillea millefolium) or with licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra). These are used for gargling, and are said to reduce pain. Echinacea ( Echinacea spp.) tincture taken in water every hour for 48 hours is recommended to boost the immune system. Antiviral herbs, including usnea (Usnea spp.), lomatium (Lomatium dissectum), and ligusticum (Ligusticum porteri), may help hasten recovery from laryngitis. Homeopathic remedies are recommended based on the patient’s symptoms. Some people may get relief from placing cold compresses on the throat.
