You don't need someone elses stamp of approval for anything, just love yourself and be the best person you can be,things will get better,I'm sure it hurts when people you love don't see the real you just don't let it get you down.GOOD LUCK!

It is understandable how you feel; however, for you to move on from this point, you will need to stop counting on their approval, and become the person God intended you to be. The less it matters what other people think of us, the more free you are to control your own destiny; in one sense.

Well, my parents think that I'm doing much better than I actually am... and for the second part, yes - they worship everyone else's kids. Not me.
I'm their lazy geek who was once a gymnastic, who needs to stop drinking pepsi. That's all.
It really bites.

We all have those moments, thank God they pass. I am very happy with whom I have become and very proud of my children.

"Yes," said SB, as he coughed up billowing clouds of smoke. "I just get nicely baked and forget all about it."
