I went through this several years ago, before that time sleeping was one of my favorite past times, then all of a sudden no matter how tired I felt sleep and a good rest would not come. I found out later when I ended up in a hospital for people who suffered from mental illness after becoming suicidal that one of the symptoms of severe manic depression is what they call racing thoughts, these happen during the day but because of daily function you don't realize it, but when you go to bed and try to sleep your mind seems to kick into overdrive and you can't sleep. I had not slept over maybe 2 to 3 hours in months before going to the hospital and after being diagnosed they put me on the drug seroquel which is actually an antipyscotic drug and it controls the racing thoughts and you can sleep. I didn't realize just how it will effect someone when they are not sleeping well. Most people think that when you are depressed that you sleep all the time but that is not always the case. I think that you should think about seeing your MD about this and don't wait to long your body can only go so long without the lack of sleep taking its tole on your mind and body. I wish you well. if you don't sleep at night that means that you are very nervous and probably have some problems so you can't relax.just try to solve or if you can't just don't think on your problems and enjoy.I think it will help if you tell your problems to another person.Just try to relax.(but don't even think to take some pills or something for relaxing without tell anyone IT IS DANGEROUS)
but this happens in most of the cases where people can't sleep, and maybe with you is another problem or something.if it's not a problem than talk with someone who is older than you and someone you can trust.and you will solve your problem with sleeping.

Get some exercise .. it helps. You can do a lot of work and make yourself physically active.. and you'll drop dead at night. If that doesn't help, maybe it's insomnia.. consult your doctor.

yes there are .. if you are of that kind... it seems that you are having some undue tension ... causing you loose sleep ... just relax... drink a lot of water ... go for travelling for some time ... and get a good sleep :)

I do on occasion. My best friend always does this though. Maybe I could ask her why.
