Tattooing a girlfriend/wife's name on you is the first step to ending the relationship. I have several tattoo's, all 3 of my kids names are on my skin. After 3 years of dating & 10 years of being married, I got my wife's name tattooed within 2 hearts as an anniversary present for her. 6 months later we were seperated, and now we are divorced.

I am not the first person that this has happened to, and I am sure I won't be the last. Coincidence maybe, but then again, even my tattoo artist say it's bad luck.

If this guy wants to impress your sister, and leave a lasting mark on her "heart", tell him to buy her a ring, or necklace, or something along those lines to show her he loves her. But leave the ink alone. The body is a wonderful canvas for artwork, if he wants to write names, buy a diary.

P.S.
It costs about $1000.00 a square inch to remove a tattoo, or hundreds of dollars to cover a tattoo up, and either way, it never looks good.

Getting a boyfriend's or girlfriend's name tatooed on your body is the kiss of death for relationships. I am sure that there are a few people that are still with the person after getting their name tatooed but, they are the minority.
Every person I have known that got a totoo like that ended breaking ui in a month or so.

No , no and no. It is one of the of the most ignorant things a person can do the they are permanent.
We don't have to look very far to find many examples of relationships that don't. I would not advise men or woman to do this.

Much as it's a lovely sentiment to do this, should nything happen to break the reationship, that tattoo will always be there or will be expensive to remove.

Seriously sis, don't let him do it. There are other ways to show your love.

A name tattoo always spells the end. If he's insistant, tell him to get it written in chinese, that way when they break up, he can lie and says it means something else.

well 4 me the father of my child got my name on his neck and i agree with u because it is permanent n tell your sis that he might try 2 use that against her like sayin' "i did this for you or u gonna do it for me" and just try 2 manipulate her into doing it and this is from my experience if i had a say so i would've told mine..NO!!

I'd NEVER EVER let my boyfriend tattoo my name on his body anywhere. I'd never let even my husband, when i got married, tattoo my name on his arm let alone anywhere else.

i dont think tatoo is a good idea......i wont have let my boyfriend do so....i think its very idiotic and old......moreover it is painful and after a few years it looks bad.....so drop this idea.........tatooing name in heart is more important than tatooing it on arm or anywhere else......ok..

I would do anything for my girl, and if I knew we were going to be together for the rest of our lives, I'd do it, but I don't know if I would still do it if we knew we were both going to break up, and were just denying it lol

i would never let my b/f or husband do that. i would think that the gusture was very sweet and that he really does love me, but i couldn't let him do it. but say we were married for like 20 years and everything was going great, then i would let him.
