Mother Mary, full of grace,
Is there a file in this darn place?
My fingernails are growing fast,
The time to trim them surely passed.
Should I bite them, do I dare?
They'd make a meal to feed a bear!
I'm greatly starved; I need a bite,
My fingernails are a nasty sight.
Would this be a sign of tension?
Or just another meal abstention?
Dear Lord, I thank you for this meal,
Toenails next? What dessert appeal!

You say grace when you are thankful for something. Are you thankful for your fingernails? Think about it. Your answer is the answer to this question.

If it will help limit the time you spend biting your fingernails, then go for it!

I say it before I eat my snot and before I suck boils, come to think of it, I say it before I ingest anything that flakes or drips off my body. It just makes sense.
You know you might want to stop biting your fingernails, no offence, it's kind of a gross habit.

You should say, "Gross!" before biting your fingernails.
Behavior modification is your only hope without those meds.
You could also try putting cayenne pepper on them to discourage you. In which you would need to say grace and probably "Mercy!"

Lol...You are hilarious...Anytime I need to laugh, I just have to read one of your questions or answers...Now to answer your question...Only say grace if you plan to swallow, and this would apply to all other things as well.

I am thinking it might be more appropriate to say disgrace in this case.
