Your sister is undecided about breast feeding her soon-to-be-born infant. You tell her that breast feeding is worth the effort because of all the ways it benefits a baby's health. She says she'll think about breast feeding, but also is considering formula feeding because of her work schedule. What are 4 specific things you could share with your sister to help her in making a decision for herself and her baby? Sometimes there are circumstances where formula is the best way to go, so offer advice that is factual, and supportive of whatever decision is better for her (don't guilt her into doing breast feeding---even though it is the best if you can manage it).

Breast milk is easier for the baby to digest.2. It provides natural immunity to certain dieases especially if the mother has had them.3.It is less expensive4.The mother and child both benefit breast feeding does help the mother to lose some of the baby weight and for the uterus to get back in shape better. Formula now adays is close to breast milk and has many of the same qualities but not the immunity. It is more convient but really expensive.

I don't know 4 specific things, but I was breastfed and I did not get sick (not so much as a cold) until I was over two years old. A mother's breastmilk works wonders for the immune system. To this day, I rarely get sick. Like, maybe once a year. Twice tops. Just something to think about.

1.A breast fed baby continues to receive your immunities against disease. (When our youngest son was born,it protected him against the chicken pox our other children had contracted).
2. A breast fed baby is less likely to be colicky.
3. Breast pumps allow babies to be fed breast milk even in the mother's absence and breast milk can be frozen.
4.The skin to skin contact of a mother to her baby not only increases the bonding between them, but has been proven to aid in a baby's growth and development.

I think The Mother Nature has especially designed the breastfeeding technique therefore the mothers should try to go for it whenever possible.
