I have a 16 year old cousin that I think is really cute and I can't get over him. He feels the same way about me. I can tell because he kisses me 'not like family'! What can I do to convince myself he is already family?

You're both young
and your hormones are getting in the way of your morals and better judgment
...guys are guys and especially young guys don't know any better. Really think this one through because there are other lots of other guys out there who you can have a great relationship with and would be more interested in something other than sex.
Don't do something you will regret and be ashamed of later. What you do now will and can shape who you become later in life and may set an example for other people to follow. Also try standing up for yourself and tell him to not treat you that way anymore because you are both related.

You have to think about how close he is in family tree. Is he a cousin by blood or by marriage. There is a big difference there. Everyone is so quick to judge without knowing the details. It is not incest if you are not blood related. Pretty much beyond third cousin, can not be considered family, because if we follow that logic it would lead you to believe that all of us are cousins of one another.
Say for instance this guy that you like was someone else's kid, and your aunt or uncle gets married, the guy would be your cousing but not your blood cousin. It is not incest, because there is not a blood connection.

In some states it's illegal to fornicate with blood relatives. Of course some states it's not. Have you talked to anyone else in your family about your feelings? If not, maybe you should. If you're scared to talk to them, then that might be a hint that you feel wrong about what you are doing... if it doesn't feel right, then don't do it. There are a lot of vicious people out there, are you willing to go through the ridicule of dating your family member?

See theres a differnce in religion and in culture. There are some cultures like the arabs where it is permissable to marry your cousin. Infact its great cause you don't have an outsider in the family.
Anyway I am sure this does not apply to you and therefore you should stop thinking about him and "don't let him kiss you like the way he does"!

its not bad i dont think so i had a friend who dated a cousin for about a year .. i dont judge but there could be alot of problems if your guyses families find out but hey if u guys like each other go for it its just a word that seperates u guyses u know

Close your eyes really tightly for 30 seconds, open them again, if he is still from the same bloodline as you then you will miraculously realize that, HE IS YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, HANDS OFF!!!! Yuck!!!

well the same thing happened to me once you know what you need to do? well when you look at him think yuk hes my cousin if we have children they will have mental problems. this worked for me hope it works for you.

is he like your 1st cousin or 2nd cousin or 3rd what? if hes your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd its wrong past 3rd cousins your basically not even related...
