I am like you in the sense that I am not afraid to find out I'm wrong because I want to know the truth, period.

I can only recommend you look into Islam. Islam is not the people. We're called Muslims. Some are good Muslims and obviously some are very bad ones.

The religion (actually the word is "Deen" in Arabic, which means "way of life" and means your whole lifestyle, every part of it, i.e. how you live your life).... is pure. It is found in the text of The Quran (Koran) and Sunnah (the traditions/rulings/sayings of Muhammad pbuh as done by the authority as a Prophet and using the Quran as the law for giving the rulings).

I think the simplest thing for me to recommend you read is The Noble Quran. It is a very clear english translation, with footnotes to show crosslinks to other similar verses (so that you get it into full context) and also explanation of arabic words on occasion, instead of poorly translating some words into "one word" as though that really tells you what it means). You can buy The Noble Quran or read it online. Please check the links under "source" below if interested:

Heritic, infidel and a host of others LOL. My beliefs tend to be Christian based but very much a heritic as I think all the Christian groups I know have more Dogma than actual Christianity in their belief systems. Some of this Dogma I feel is both harmfull and very much against what God wanted. However my church is a church of one so I don't get to be a Christian sect or denomination :)

I explored Pagen beliefs and other religions when I was younger. Some I found things that instantly turned me off. If they were right I didn't want that sort of reward at the end or I saw fundemental flaws in their theology. I would never make a good Hindu for example since I love beef and really cannot wrap my mind around a religion that would deny it's followers the pleasure of a good steak LOL. Most of my reasons are more serious than that. Just making light of my own belief system. Though the whole concept of animal reincarnation to me is just not a workable thing. Nor is pacifism which is found in various religions and sects. I could never be a Quaker for example. I am just not a pacifist and the concept turns my stomach.

So I have mine, respect others if it doesn't intrude on mine. If folks ask me I'm happy to tell them what I believe. Perhaps it will help them with something or maybe they'll just think I'm nuts. I live in a free country so it's my right to be nuts :)

I'm a Christian. I don't know what you are looking for other than hope and faith. Theories are just that, theories. Take a look inside yourself and see what you truly believe. The problem is that you are asking "humans" what is the right religion. The only way to find out what the right "religion" is, is to go straight to the source and ask.
I did and found Christ, my Lord and Savior. When you be still and quiet the mind you can hear the Lord talk to you in such a small gentle voice. This sounds weird to those who have never heard it before, but once you do hear it you will know that you are just a human. An animal just like all the rest that roam this great planet of ours. We just happen to be the most intelligent of the species at this time. That doesn't mean that it will always be this way. This too could change.

I am a Christian Arab and feature a few enjoy on this subject. I believe any co-life begins with mutual appreciate for every different's ideals. If you quite seem on the Muslim ideals, you're going to uncover well values and far consistency with the lessons of the Christian religion, however you're going to now not uncover Jesus, of path, and the forgiveness that he introduced. Tolerance for special facets of view on any subject is an essential facet of America. You do not must believe the identical as any person else so as to appreciate their correct to have one more perspective. I have most often discovered from being attentive to special viewpoints. Ask your pal why the females put on the pinnacle scarves or cover their faces. You will likely be amazed on the reply. You would now not accept as true with it, but it surely makes extra experience than you could believe.

I also have had a hard time describing though some of the titles above certainly fit. The last time someone asked me what religion I was I said "my own." Got a bit of a shocked reaction but it certainly fits but most people go with spiritual or non-denominational.

The application of science and logic might make you a Freethinker, a Universist, or a Deist. I used to tell people I was a seeker of truth, but too many of them took that as an invitation to try to sell me on their religion.

All religions are man-made. No animals other than human, has "invented" religions. They just live their life. But, these poor humans "invented" these stupid religions and scriptures and are living in that shiit.

So, anyone who indentifies himself through religion is stupid. In reality, there is no such thing as "god". The only existing thing is, this very existence. Enjoy this existence. One need not worry about, who created this earth, who created this stars, who created this rain, etc.etc. Instead enjoy these beauties. Don't go beyond this. Just enjoy.

Your are an human. You can say, I belong to mankind. Your religion is mankind.

All living beings in this world have mind. Human has the highest level of mind. Through his mind, he can "learn" things. Learning is infinite.

To all religious people: Pls use your brain. It is for thinking.

I would say Spiritual.

I have beliefs that do and do not follow the religion I was raised all my life.

As long as you believe in a Higher and Benevolent being, with or without a gender or race, then that's all that matters.

Spiritual, Non-Denominational, "Diest", or just tell them it's none of their business. :)

And for the post above that "Without Jesus there is no hope". That's a load of crap. Don't believe other's judgemental comments about your beliefs. "If a doctor practiced... blah blah" is merely a judgemental call on your choice and practice of your faith - the details of which the person above who made such a comment knows absolutely nothing about, and is speaking from a position of total ignorance.

You can't pass judgement on people or their beliefs if you know nothing about them. Period.

Lost.

But not without hope. If your doctor practiced medicine the way you believe he/she would kill their patients. If police officers did thier jobs the way you believe they would kill people at will. There is a standard for absolute truth. The standard is Jesus revelaed to us in the Bible. You are free to believe whatever you want but without Jesus you have no hope. You can believe gravity doesn't exist but a jump off a high building will quickly change your mind.

Jesus loves you. he came to die for your sins so you wouldn't ave to be lost but saved in Him.
